Design & BIM
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a highly effective method for coordinating & communicating projects as well as reducing time, cost and inefficiency.
BIM incorporates key design, construction and logistical details into a 3-dimensional computer simulation that can be used for information management and communication between project delivery partners throughout a project lifecycle. The insight that BIM provides means that projects can be delivered faster, more economically and with less environmental impact.
The BIM regulations 2016 will require all government projects to utilise collaborative 3D BIM modelling. BIM brings a broad range of benefits to any project, including:
- 3D project visualisation; providing clear visual instruction to all departments
- Quicker client and regulatory approvals by way of clear design displays
- Environmental assessment tools makes design quick and easy
- Accurate resource and budgetary requirements
- Increased building operational efficiency
- More informed decision making
- Improved risk and opportunity management
- Conduct ‘what-if’ scenarios; allowing a range of design options to be considered quickly
What we do
Geohyden’s specialist BIM consultants have provided BIM services for a broad array of projects including public, private and residential buildings. We take a collaborative approach and focus on investing time in the design stage of a project in order to save time and increase efficiency throughout the delivery phase.
We incorporate project information in a structured and comprehensive manner. This not only provides easily accessible information to all departments but also aids in the production of supporting documents such as cost estimations, quotes and scheduling.
Our aim is to ensure that building projects reach their design potential and are easier, faster, and more cost-effective for our clients.
