Dewatering Strategies
Dewatering is the process of removing water or liquids from solid materials such as soil. This includes the removal or draining of ground or surface water from riverbeds, construction sites, caissons or mineshafts.
What we do
At Geohyden, we have extensive experience of the assessment, design, supply, installation and management of both temporary and permanent dewatering strategies. Approaching each project individually, we ensure that the solutions provided are tailor made, taking into account the full lifecycle of a project as well as time and budgetary parameters.
Following phase I studies and phase II site investigations, we produce a site-specific dewatering strategy with full method statement as well as an outline of schedule and costs. This helps to assess the initial feasibility of a development as well as understand the logistical arrangements of dewatering.
We conduct site visits at key stages throughout dewatering to monitor progress. Once dewatering works are complete, we can then assess ground conditions to verify that subsequent works may commence.
