Environmental Impact Assessment

Drawing on our range of expertise and experience we integrate the requirements of the client with stakeholder expectations throughout the assessment process proposing sustainable design alterations for consideration that will allow the project to realise its full potential.

What is an EIA?

The purpose of an EIA is to establish existing environmental conditions, assess the environmental impact of a proposed development on these conditions and develop the necessary measures to avoid, eliminate, control and mitigate potential impacts as well as identify and quantify positive opportunities a development could have and the measures required to realise them. This allows planning proposals to be given the appropriate consideration by local authorities and stakeholders of potentially contentious projects in a factual and reasoned manner.

What we do

Geohyden has extensive experience in EIA production from initial site-investigations to the production of Environmental Statements and stakeholder engagement. We approach each project individually, taking into consideration every aspect of the development’s nature, environment and potential impact. This allows us to focus on tailored solutions that benefit both the environment, stakeholders and the client, ensuring the best possible outcome for all.

All of our consultants are experts in their respective fields and work collaboratively to ensure that project solutions are comprehensive, integrated and in accordance with all applicable legislation and industry codes of practice.
